SECO7 products are designed to be reliable, flight grade components made in accordance with AS4824, a National Aerospace Standard. They are intended for use with 37 degree flared fitting ends per AS4395, AS4396 or similar fitting ends for power plant applications, fuel systems, ground support and test equipment.

Standard Available Materials
Our crush washers are made of Aluminum (Per QQ-A-1876 or AMS 4001 – superseded by ASTM B 209), Copper (Per ASTM B152 and ASTM B 152M) , Nickel (Per ASTM B 162 or AMS 5553), and Stainless Steel (Per ASTM A 240).
These “37 Degree Flared Tube Fitting Conical Seals” are made for use on connections from 1/16″ to 3″ Nominal Tube Diameter. They conform to ASE Standards AS4824 and J514/1_202112. Depending on the base material, these flare savers are also available with “Silver” or “Tin” Plating. “Tin Plating” is available for all four materials, “Silver Plating” is only available for nickel and stainless-steel conical seals.

SAE J514/1_202112
This SAE standard defines “Metallic Connections for Fluid Power and General Use – Part 1: 37 Degree Flared Fittings.” It covers general and dimensional specifications for 37 degree flared tube fittings. These fittings are capable of providing leak-proof, full flow connections in hydraulic systems operating at working pressures as specified in “Table 6“.
