USC – Liquid Propulsion Lab

The University of Southern California’s (USC) Liquid Propulsion Laboratory (LPL) is a student-led research laboratory dedicated to the research and development of liquid rocket engines, feed systems and data acquisition/control systems to support them. Established in 2016, the lab has grown into a diverse team of over 60 undergraduate and graduate engineering students. These students not only develop essential engineering skills through various projects but also collaborate in a cross-functional, startup-like environment that emphasizes achieving industry-quality standards on a collegiate scale.

Sebastian Bouckenooghe stated, “At USC LPL, we rely on SECO products for nearly all our feed systems. High-quality gaskets for flared connections in high-pressure systems are crucial, particularly in an educational setting where we teach students to work safely with high-pressure feed systems. That’s why we choose SECO, which we believe offers the highest quality solution for our needs.”
